Intro, and Apple Crisp

First post! Living in Ireland (Céad Míle Fàilte), baking for food allergic kid and lovely (totally into cooking) hubby. Thanks for setting up the community, I'm hoping to learn a lot in here about alternatives to ingredients (looking for vegan recipes, no egg or dairy or nuts).

Oh, and does anyone know of a webpage where I can put in a recipe, and it will give me the metric for the cups that are listed? Instead of converting each line separately.

My contribution? A lovely apple crisp recipe that has become a standard in my house. This is great for all the people in the southern hemisphere, heading into the crisp autumnal weather. Even better for breakfast!!! ;-)

Servings: 6 servings
Prep. Time: :20
Total Time: 1:05 to 1:20
Ingredients:
Crisp Topping:
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1-1/4 cups oats
2-1/4 cups sugar
1/8 tsp. allspice
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup cold butter

Apple Mixture:
5 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored & sliced
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. lemon juice
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan. For the topping: Mix together the flour, oats, sugar and spices in a large bowl. Using the large holes of a grater, grate the butter into the bowl. Blend until the mixture just begins to come together, being careful not to over mix. Toss the apples in a large bowl with the sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Spoon into the baking pan and sprinkle the topping mixture over the fruit. Back for 45 to 60 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is browned and crisp. Serve warm with a scoop of rich vanilla ice cream or lovely custard.
