1. Egg nog or hot chocolate?

Mmmmm...eggnog.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?

Wrap presents and tuck 'em under the tree.

3. Colored lights on the tree / house or white?

On the tree: one string white, one string red berry lights. Outside, colored net lights (I didn't know they were colored when I got 'em)

4. Do you hang mistletoe?

No...it's never actually entered my mind.

5. When do you put your decorations up?

Um...like the first weekend of December.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?

Sweet potato and marshmallow casserole. And the cranberry-orange compote.

7. What is your favorite holiday dessert?

Sugar plums.

8. Favorite holiday memory as a child?

The first look at the tree with the presents under it.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?

I have no idea. I don't remember at all. As the youngest of 4, I'm sure they let it go as long as they could tho.

10. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?

Hell no.

11. What kind of cookies does Santa get set out for him?

Chocolate chip, a glass of milk or wine, and carrots for the reindeer (we're just starting the carrots, never did them as kids, but I love the thought of it).

12. Snow! Love it or dread it?

LOVE IT.

13. Can you ice skate?

Yep. Even have a friend who is a figure skater :-).

14. Do you remember your favorite gift?

The year my mom made us (my brother and me) a huge Lowly Worm, and some clothes for them.

15. What's the most important thing about the holidays for you?

Decorations. People smiling and laughing and being with friends. The lights in the darkness.

Reading Twas The Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve.

17. What tops your tree?

Nothing right now, but hoping to make myself a Willendorf Venus.

Giving :-).

I love all the year-end stuff on tv, but movie...Nightmare Before Christmas.
