Phone call

The phone rang about 10 minutes ago. B and I look at each other (come on, 7:30am?! Thank heavens we were already up), and I answer it.

Turns out it's our friend Tom Plum in Hawaii. He asked if we were watching the election returns (of if we even could here), and he said "I'm calling all my friends who are happy. We started with the mainland friends, and did the Hawaii friends, so now we're calling European friends." :-)

I like that. Looks like there's going to be a few recounts, but what great news to wake up to. When we lived in CA, we routinely voted for Nancy Pelosi, and believe in her. She's going to make a *great* Speaker of the House. :-)
