Elana's Corn Chowder

5 slices streaky bacon, cubed
1 tablespoon butter (or marg)
1/2 onion, diced
1/2 leek, diced
2 stalks celery, sliced
5 small potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 quart (1 liter) chicken broth
2 cans creamed corn
pepper
Cook bacon in soup pot over medium heat til cooked. Add margarine, then add the onion and the leek. Cook til soft and/or translucent, add celery and potatoes. Pour chicken broth over, and cook at a simmer til potatoes are tender. Add two cans of corn, stir to blend. Add pepper. Warm over low heat, serve with brown bread
Warning: this will be salty as heck. Do not add salt!
