Great minds think alike :-)
I take the easy way out though and buy prebottled mulled wine in Lidl. Last Christmas I mixed in a bottle of merlot and a bag of mulled wine spice with a cloved orange.
It was nice.

M&S had sign up for Mulled White Wine last week. Thankfully, we didn't actually see any or I'm not sure that I'd still have my reason.
